6/11/08 BIG EAST Announces the Formation of Men's Lacrosse League for 2010 Season The BIG EAST Conference announced today that it will formally begin sponsoring the sport of men's lacrosse beginning in the spring of 2010. In addition, the Villanova women's lacrosse program will join the existing women's lacrosse league in the spring of 2010. 4/30/08 Wildcats Come Up Short against Top-Seeded Drexel 11-5 in CAA Semifinals Local rivals that have met once each season since 1981 played their second consecutive game against each other on Wednesday night, as No. 4 seed Villanova (5-10) was defeated 11-5 by No. 1 seed Drexel (13-3) in a CAA semifinal game from Vidas Field. The Wildcats were making their fifth playoff appearance in the last seven years but saw their season come to an end as the Dragons advanced to the league championship game for the first time ever. more[+]
4/30/08 Wildcats Take on the Dragons in the CAA Championship The Wildcats will meet the Drexel Dragons in tonight at 7 p.m. in the first round of the CAA Championship. The game will be held at the Vidas Athletic Complex at Drexel University. more[+]
